About Thomas

Thomas Cousins

Growing up as the son of Connie Cousins, the hair styling industry has always been a part of Thomas' life. However, it wasn't until 1996, after serving in the National Guard and spending two years in college, that Thomas began to realize that hair styling may have been the career he was destined for.

Just a few short years into his career at his father's salon, Thomas realized that there was a need for further education beyond the Louisiana State Board requirements for any hairstylist who wanted to stay up to date with the current color, styling, and cutting trends.

In 2001 Thomas joined forces with the John Paul Mitchell Systems education team and became a Certified National Educator in Hair cutting, Coloring, and Long Hair Design.

In 2004, his drive to become one of the world's best hairstylists led him to audition for a spot on the John Paul Mitchell Platform Artist team, a group of highly trained educators who teach up to date techniques to professional hairstylists across the globe.

Since then Thomas has had the opportunity to teach as far away as Canada, Germany, Switzerland, South Africa, Spain, Israel, Taiwan, and China.  Thomas has also done his part to bring this information back home to fellow Paul Mitchell salons in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida and most importantly, his own salon in Mandeville, LA.

THOMAS’ LOVE FOR HIS CRAFT IS ABSOLUTELY UNDENIABLE.
